In order to identify competitive opportunities and threats, and execute bold industry-shaping initiatives to improve the customer experience, Amazon relies on the Competitive Strategy and Negotiation (CSN) team comprised of business as well as technical resources. By working closely business ant tech we ensure the team explore and implement both experiments and solutions quickly and without undue overhead.
The CSN tech team will be designing and prototyping a variety of changes to Amazon's website and internal workflow tools. As part of the team you will also build custom data acquisition and analysis tools specific to understanding the competitive environment. You will work with other engineers in CSN as a team and regularly interface with other technical teams throughout Amazon's ecosystem. Changes may be within solutions owned by our group or in systems maintained by other teams.

Understand Amazon's website platform, ordering and retail support systems.
Design and prototype changes on website display and workflow tools.
Work with other teams to roll out successful prototypes into production systems.
Develop internal tools that help the team perform competitive benchmarking and analysis.
Qualifications
What are we looking for? The SDEs of this team must thrive on competition and winning to maintain Amazon as the world's most customer-centric company. The SDE must be able to develop technical solutions that are innovative, that can achieve maximum results with minimal resources, that can interface with the rest of Amazon's systems, and that are sustainable. Time to market and ability to iterate on an idea are critical. The ability to work with SDEs from other teams, and work as a loaned resource to make in other team's systems is critical.
The candidate will have a proven track record of success:
Solving complex technical problems
Developing in an agile environment with a multitude of technologies.
Being able to deal with ambiguity and finding collaborative solutions in adverse conditions
5+ years of software development in an e-commerce related field required.
Knowledge of Amazon's systems and technology is a definite plus.
Superior verbal and written communications skills.
A strong appetite for teamwork and a just-do-it attitude.
