We are seeking an experienced professional to
maintain and/or re-model our database and application code base.
Required skills/experience:
- Demonstrated ability to envision
web-based services that meet our clients? needs and solve business problems
- 10+ years of experience managing web
application development and familiarity with most of the following:
- Advanced knowledge of eCommerce
payment and report processing
- SSL/HTTPS, payment gateway solutions
- Strong experience with back-end API
techniques
- Familiarity with Python, PHP, and
shell scripting
- Perl, CSS, XHTML, HTML 5, AJAX
- Javascript libraries: Prototype,
script.aculo.us, jQuery, soundmanager, etc.
- Experience managing programmers and IT
resources, including familiarity with the following:
- Multi-server MySQL server clusters
- Internet protocols and RFC standards
- DNS, streaming and transfer protocols
- Revision control systems (CVS, git,
SubVersion)
- Information security vulnerabilities
and risk management
- Basic network and MAC based operating
systems, hardware, protocols and standards
- Familiarity with consumer privacy and
payments industry compliance

- Proven problem-solving skills with the
ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to recruit, hire, motivate and
lead a team of programmers
- Proven experience in planning /development,
project mgt, and policy development
- Strong experience in content and data
mgt including planning, coordination, and direction
Job Description:
- Ensure the streamlined operation of
the IT Group in alignment with the business objectives of the organization
- Forecast the company?s service
offerings as a web-based business, leading implementation of web applications,
and planning for risk and growth
- Plan, coordinate, and direct employees
in the technology-related activities of the organization, as well as provide
administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the
technology group
- Work closely with decision makers in
other departments to identify, recommend and support cost-effective technology
solutions for all aspects of the organization
- Create and manage the business theory,
business process, management, budgeting, and office operation protocol for the
technical department
- Keep company compliant of applicable
laws and regulations as they relate to IT
- Lead and continually educate the team
- Ensure that technology standards and
best practices are maintained across the organization
- Develop track, and control the
development and deployment annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing,
staffing, and operations
- Establish standards of performance and
monitor conformance for IT staff
