Position Description: Hunt and Gather is looking for a Front End Web Developer who brings an innovative, creative and disciplined approach to developing a solid user experience for our web-based solutions. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced front-end developer with expertise in HTML, XHTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript and other related technologies. You will be working closely with designers, developers and account managers to bring to life a cross-browser compliant, standards based, and well-designed user interface.
Responsibilities
Implement designs from Adobe Photoshop
Create pages or templates in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Collaborate with Design and Development, bringing the two together.
Analyze web site structures and create wireframes
Skills and Experience
Strong HTML, XHTML, and CSS Experience - Candidate must be able to hand-code to standards and all major browsers without error. Candidate also must possess a deep understanding of keeping code, content, and presentation separated.
Strong Wireframing Experience Candidate must a thorough understanding of wireframes and website structures.
Strong Communication Skills - A large part of the candidates role will be to effectively communicate the importance of standards and best practices to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong Teamwork Skills - The candidate will contribute to frameworks and code libraries that we use to standardize our code deliverables.
Design Implementation - Candidate must be able to accurately and efficiently implement designs from Adobe Photoshop project files.
Experience integrating HTML templates into a PHP, Wordpress or Drupal back-end is a plus.
Candidate must have examples of previous work provided prior to the interview and be ready to translate a simple Adobe Photoshop file to a website within 30 minutes.
