We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with expertise in video transcoding platforms, knowledge of H264, AAC, MPEG4 file formats and tools such as ffmpeg. You would be involved in building a service that will meet high standards of customer experience, quality, performance and scale. You will be working on a rich media content ingestion/encoding pipeline that takes advantage of the Amazon cloud infrastructure(EC2,S3), and designing/implement a seamless web experience to discover, upload, transcode, and render different content types.

Qualifications
* 5+ years of real world experience in software engineering with a solid track record of delivery
* Proven ability to architect robust, scalable, high-performance systems
* Thorough knowledge and appreciation of Computer Science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms, with a B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
* Expertise in Java or C++
* Strong skills in Object Oriented Design and Relational Data Modeling
* Knowledge and expertise in tools such as ffmpeg, and encoding software for H264, Advanced Audio Codec (AAC), Dolby Digital (AC3)
* Passion for software craftsmanship that yields clean, elegant and maintainable code
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills![]()
