Bronto Software, a leading Software
as a Service, (SaaS) business in the email marketing space is seeking a
well-rounded PHP Software Engineer experienced with
medium-to-large-scale web development to assist in developing of our email
marketing and analytics web applications. The Software Engineer will
assist in the design and implementation of new front-end features and
functionality and in the improvement in the performance and quality of our
existing code base.
The Software Engineer must have
experience in developing robust applications in a hosted software (SaaS)
environment and be experienced with medium to large scale web development to assist
in developing our email marketing and analytics web applications. Bronto
sends and tracks tens of millions of messages every day and provides near
real-time analysis and reporting to our customers. We are working
with cutting edge technologies including Cassandra and Hadoop as we move toward
a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) internally. While Bronto is
rapidly growing, we are a small enough team that you will be able to have a
direct impact on the design and development of our rapidly expanding feature
set.
Bronto is rapidly growing and our current client list includes names like
Seventh Generation, Trek Bikes, Gander Mountain, and Etsy. We are seeking
to increase the functionality of our applications as we continue to attract
clients looking to apply higher degrees of measurement and metric-based
analysis of their marketing campaigns. If you have the technical

Qualifications for our thrilling Jurassic
opportunity include:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in software development
- Expertise coding/working in PHP and SQL (other languages a plus)
- Knowledge of the latest internet memes. Was that double rainbow really that intense?
- Experience working with source code control such as Subversion, CVS or GIT
- You live and breathe acronyms like OOP, MVC, and OMGWTFBBQ makes perfect sense to you
- Experience developing in a Linux/Unix environment. No Microsoft here
- Must subscribe to reddit
- Knowledge of AJAX design patterns
- Familiarity with Unit Test development and use
- Ability to bring mad DJ skillz for your weekly Air Tunes session
