Position: Software Developers, Raleigh North Carolina
Summary: We’re searching for two software engineers to join our North Carolina team. Both are Senior Developers, one will be the Lead. At Altus, you’ll have the opportunity to work within a small team of talented engineers to develop cutting edge media search and delivery software.
Required Experience:
• Strong Java programmer with a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
• Innovative approach to problem solving
• Ability to independently tackle new problems head on
• Proven self starter, capable of operation with minimal oversight.
• Core Java with a familiarity with the J2EE side of things
• Familiarity with c/c++ and a scripting language of choice
• WebServices, preferably with JBossWS
• Building and designing distributed modular code
• Strong threading experience
• Solid asynchronous messaging experience
• Hibernate, SQL, XML, JAXB
• Tomcat/JBoss
• JNI and spawning/managing processes external to the JVM
• Strong Linux and cross-platform development experience
• Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines.
• (For Lead Role): Proven Hands On Development Leadership for small teams.
• BS or MS in CS, Engineering or related technology area
A Plus if you have:
• Experience with media processing or DSP
• Experience with ffmpeg and related utilities.
