We have an opening for a UI Designer with a passion for creating great products. We have lofty goals and a myriad of user interface challenges to explore and solve. You'll be responsible for creating the look and feel of the user-facing functionality of Evri’s products including the concept and design of wireframes, prototypes, and documentation for end-to-end task flows and user interaction of our consumer-focused Web products. This role requires excellent communication and collaborative skills as you will be working directly with other Designers, Software Engineers, and Product Managers.
You'll be responsible for analysis of product requirements, rapid visual and interaction prototyping, presentation and communication of final design solutions, and successful implementation guidance across multiple features and/or products. You'll use your interaction design experience during the concept, design, and implementation not only by bringing awareness to best practices, but also by applying creative thinking and problem solving skills to create design solutions that meet user expectations.
Duties:- Define usage scenarios based on goals and product requirements to guide design and inspire users.
- Generate compelling designs (concept to pixels) that will win the hearts of users.
- Own feature designs end-to-end, from information architecture to presentation to assisting with implementation and testing.
- Create proposals for feature refinements based on user feedback, user behavior, competitors, emerging trends.
- Confident creating new approaches to complex design problems.
- Able to empathize and assume the perspective of customers.
- Able to work collaboratively. We start by talking through design challenges in small groups to get focused on the best potential solutions.
- Able to fluently express ideas verbally with wireframes, prototypes, whiteboard sketches, digital mock-ups, and documentation.
- Detail oriented. You strive for consistency and simplicity in your work.
- Good at distinguishing between the good and the great. You know how to stage delivery of a design to reach the former quickly, while still keeping the latter in your sights.
- Able to create and design a consistent experience across multiple features.
- Knowledgeable of current web technologies and their benefits and drawbacks on usability, accessibility, and interaction.
- Able to understand complex systems and processes, both in software and in the real world.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
- Decisive. You value user feedback, but don’t require it to make a judgment call.
- Experience with rich user interfaces, user-centered design and effectively working through an entire software release lifecycle. Ideal candidates will have a portfolio of recent work history showcasing successful consumer software releases (particularly those which used iterative/agile methodologies - scrum/feature driven development) and demonstrate a passion for current technology trends and best practices.
- Hands-on knowledge of current design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle,Visio and/or Fireworks.)
- Working knowledge of interactive prototyping technologies (HTML, CSS, Flash, ActionScript.)
- 3+ years of work experience
- Extra Bonus if you have a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Information Design, Graphic Arts, HCI or related field.
