We are seeking an Engineering Manager to direct the development, creation, and modification of computer applications software and specialized utility programs. The selected candidate will oversee the software design and implementation for clients with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
â?¢ Manage the development of customer oriented web applications
â?¢ Translate business requirements into technical requirements for implementation
â?¢ Track team milestones and report project status to product management and engineering teams
â?¢ Mentor and problem-solve coding decisions with Lead Developers
â?¢ Facilitate communications with Product Managers and ensure that projects are properly specified before work begins
â?¢ Assign bugs fixes and projects to appropriate development resources
â?¢ Aid and facilitate design and architectural decisions
â?¢ Offer coding support and urgent bug analysis as required
â?¢ Analyze and design databases within an application area
â?¢ Perform other duties as assigned
What you'll need to bring to the table:
â?¢ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
â?¢ A minimum of five years professional experience managing developers in a LAMP environment (the ideal candidate will have managed a team of at least 5 Developers)
â?¢ Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
â?¢ Systems Analysis/Software Architectural Skills
â?¢ Strong written and verbal communication skills
â?¢ Ability to track large projects, or a large number of small tasks
