Do you want to solve weird and wonderful problems set by diverse businesses from the legal sector to the building trade - creating systems that make a difference? If you do, then we have a role for you. Working with our development team you will get to be involved in all aspects of the development cycle from winning a contract to deploying and maintaining the final solution. Specifically you will:
- assist in the production of quotations for application development projects
- work on bespoke application development projects for our customers
- enhance the internal company systems (support desk, sales process etc)
- continually enhance your knowledge of all development environments and database systems in use.
Our chosen development technology is Ruby on Rails. So, you should have good skills in:
- Ruby on Rails
- Test Driven Development
- Version Control using GIT
- HTML / CSS
- JavaScript / JQuery / Prototype
- MySQL / PostgreSQL
Knowledge of Linux, PHP and Microsoft SQL Server would be a bonus.
Preferably, you will have a UK degree in an IT related discipline or equivalent professional experience. As a service-oriented business, you must be presentable, have good communication skills and a customer service mentality. The ability to work as part of a team is very important.
