The Enterprise Solution Architecture team is made up of senior technology professionals with two primary responsibilities. First, the team provides Hewitt with a pool of senior architectural resources to assist in designing, validating, and implementing initiatives of strategic importance. Second, the team works with the business and IS domains to identify, evaluate, and implement application and infrastructure technologies that are likely to provide compelling value to Hewitt.
The Enterprise Solution Architect is responsible for providing architectural guidance and oversight to ensure that Hewitt solutions are scalable, secure, available, and operationally sound. This person will be heavily involved in the design and creation of shared client infrastructure, client-specific re-hosting solutions and Mergers & Acquisitions. The Enterprise Solution Architect will need to work closely with a diverse set of partners, including various technology groups within IS, product/development groups within the business, and IS/Business leadership. The Enterprise Solution Architect will be involved throughout the entire implementation lifecycle, up to and through production deployment. Throughout the process, this person is expected to share their broad knowledge of diverse technologies, facilitate/participate in project meetings, and document Hewitt architectural standards for both internal and external audiences.
â?¢ Develop high-level architectural design frameworks (e.g., connectivity, DMZ's, security paradigms, etc.) based on requirements
â?¢ Work with client implementation teams to finalize client technology footprints
â?¢ Create and maintain architectural designs and documentation
â?¢ Provide leadership to evolve company?s long- term strategic technology direction and education regarding client architectures
â?¢ Evaluate designs and architectures and document results/risks based on required technical parameters
â?¢ Work closely with Technology Development teams to ensure application architectures are consistent with desired deployment models
â?¢ Keep abreast of a broad range of technologies that may deliver value to Hewitt's business
â?¢ Participate in the creation and evaluation of business cases (hardware/software costs) for multiple projects
â?¢ Help organize support models for new applications hosted by Hewitt
â?¢ Some travel and off hours support may be required
Qualifications:
â?¢ 7 Years of Experience
â?¢ Education/Certificate: B.S. Required/M.S. Preferred
â?¢ Network and Operating System Security
â?¢ Operating Systems (Solaris, Unix, Linux, Windows)
â?¢ Client/Server and Multi-tier Architectures
â?¢ Application Architectures, including Windows or J2EE
â?¢ Communications and Networking Architectures
